So Lance & Lisa, Matt & and April, And Us decided to go on a camping adventure this past weekend...we loads the truck with yummy food and the trailer with all the quads. We were ready for a good time together....we were on schedule to leave about 4:00 but didn't actually hit the road until 6:00. So we were on our way when down the on ramp we starting loosing Matt and April's Sleeping bags off the trailer...-k-... off we go. to the gas station where we learn that Lance and Lisa's brake just might not make it to camp. We sat and discussed what they should do for a while and decided to pray and take our chances. We get to the campsite at around 10:30ish and begin set up with very sleepy and whiny kiddos. As always most of us were up at the crack of dawn...we had a great fire and some good eats. Then there was the good conversation around the campfire, the surgery of my shoes, the moment I took down Lisa and Brendon's raps to keep us all entertained. We made lunch and had some more laughs until.... the rain came down. all the kids and us lucky moms got all the kids in the tent for some good ol' fashioned bonding...and then everyone to their own tents for a nap. When I woke up I was told that after dinner we were gonna take down camp and get out of here. the rain never stopped. the guys had to do most of the work in the rain and we had some awesome steaks in our own individual cars. I can't wait to do it again:)

Nice shoes loser!
That is sad. Did you guys get to stay the night or did you just have to pack up and go home?

your shoes cracked me up! i think it's so funny that you actually were that mad at blisters that you'd cut them. oh so funny.

Probably something you wont forget though, huh? :) Fun idea! Your shoes made me laugh. That was quite a creative solution.
you are right- that is a good blog-worthy trip.....although, it seems like most of your trips have some crazy funny moments! love the full moon, the new shoes, and the kids playing wwf. No matter what the weather the kids will always create a good time!
so.....I haven't heard from you in a while- I take it a trip to Ohio is out of the near future plan? Darn- I guess I'll have to hold out till christmas!
What are you talking about, not the funnest trip in history???? I thought it was, HA HA!!! We had a great time and my husband said today that he was thinking about going camping, I knew we could convert him if he would allow himself to have some FUN!!!! Even though he was soaking wet, covered in mud and got his hand slammed by Lance in the back of the van!!
you could just buy your shoes like that.
I'm sure the kids still all had a blast! Penn what are you going to do without your sketchers?
I'm very impressed at the shoes I love them what a great solution :) you're too funny! Looks like you didn't let the rain ruin your fun!
